In 1935, movie superstars Jeannette MacDonald and Nelson Eddy came up to Lake Tahoe to film one of their greatest hits: Rose Marie. Now, imagine you have been invited to the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion for wine one evening in the 1930s – only to find that Jeannette MacDonald, Nelson Eddy, and other stars of Hollywood’s Golden Age will be there too!
Spend the evening on the porch of the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion over looking Lake Tahoe while enjoying wine and hors d’oeuvres. Cherie Oliver of Yesteryear Sierra will present a lineup of dresses and evening gowns that prove the 1930’s reputation for glamour! Guests are invited to wear what they please for this evening of Wine and Wisdom, a fundraiser presented by the Sierra State Parks Foundation.
Tickets are $40 or $35 for SSPF members and includes State Parks parking fee. Seating is limited and a reservation is recommended.
